Meanwhile, the quality of building materials is continuously improving, energy and raw material consumption is decreasing year by year, various new building materials are constantly emerging, and building materials products are constantly being upgraded and replaced. Cangzhou's pipeline equipment manufacturing industry has a strong foundation. There are currently more than 3,200 production enterprises, including 222 large-scale enterprises (sales revenue exceeding 5 million yuan), employing 124,000 people. Main products include seamless steel pipes of various diameters made of special steel, stainless steel, and carbon steel; low, medium, and high-pressure boiler tubes; oil drilling pipes; various tees, crosses, valves, reducers, and other elbows and pipe fittings; various stainless steel flanges and forged flanges; various pipe supports, instruments, oil well blowout preventers, and other pipeline accessories; and various polyethylene pipes, polypropylene pipes, and other plastic pipes, totaling 16 major categories, more than 370 varieties, and more than 3,500 specifications. The manufacturing processes mainly employ hot-rolled straight seam welding, spiral double-sided submerged arc welding, forging, pressing, medium-frequency induction molding, cold forming, and hot extrusion, with a maximum pipe diameter of 2020 mm.
Products are widely used in municipal, petrochemical, West-East Gas Pipeline, shipbuilding, and nuclear power engineering fields, with an annual designed processing capacity of 25 million tons. In 2010, enterprises above designated size achieved an industrial added value of 13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%, accounting for 16.1% of the total added value of all enterprises above designated size. Cangzhou's pipeline equipment manufacturing industry is moving towards the goals of "three upgrades" (upgrading scale, improving level, and upgrading equipment) and "three highs" (high-end, high-pressure, and high added value), striving to reach a pipeline equipment manufacturing capacity of 30 million tons. Cangzhou will become a well-known "pipeline equipment manufacturing and R&D base" and "pipeline equipment capital" both domestically and internationally.
The "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" for infrastructure investment has reached its midpoint. The explosive growth in investment in infrastructure construction such as highways and railways, along with the steady growth in investment in ordinary civil buildings, has placed the construction industry in an upward phase of prosperity. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of building an energy-saving society and strengthening the country's independent innovation capabilities, energy conservation and technological innovation will be the hot topics in the industry.
